Running the Sanctuary is a labour of love, and we are out there working with the animals 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It isn’t possible to “call in sick.” It is hard work, but it is rewarding work – knowing we are making a difference for animals makes it all worth it.   We are volunteer run, and are always on the lookout for volunteers.

On Farm Volunteer Activities

​

Typical on farm volunteer activities include mucking the barn and coops, raking, and pasture cleaning.  Many of the animals will come visit you while you complete your tasks but please remember that some tasks might not include much animal interaction.  Volunteering is physically intensive, so expect to get a good workout!

We can always use a hand with the website, with grant proposals and essay writing, and helping with tours.
